MONTRÉAL, Sept. 10, 2026 /CNW/ -- CIMA+, one of Canada's leading private engineering consulting firms, announces the signing of a strategic agreement with Tyrex Canada for the distribution and integration of cybersecurity solutions from Tyrex and Seclab in Canada. This collaboration enables CIMA+ to enhance its portfolio of operational and digital technologies with proven solutions designed specifically to protect critical infrastructure.
Through this agreement, CIMA+ can now offer its clients an integrated approach that combines Tyrex and Seclab technologies with its multi-market expertise at every stage of their projects' lifecycle, from conceptualization and planning to integration, deployment, support and maintenance of the solutions.
These technologies help secure and isolate critical networks and systems, particularly through Electronic AirGap technology, which strictly controls data exchanges between information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) environments, as well as file transfers and the use of removable media. They therefore meet the needs of organizations where security, resilience and business continuity are vital. The agreement specifically targets the energy, heavy industry, transportation and public transit, water and wastewater treatment, and defence and aerospace sectors.
"This agreement directly aligns with our commitment to continue evolving our portfolio of operational and digital technologies in response to the challenges our clients face. By merging unique and specialized technologies with the expertise of our teams, we can offer an integrated solution and support our clients throughout the entire lifecycle of their infrastructure. The ability to separate and secure critical environments while enabling the data exchange necessary for business operations is an increasingly significant challenge for our clients. It is this combination of solutions and services that distinguishes our approach," said Rock Lacroix, Senior Vice President, Operational and Digital Technologies at CIMA+.
This collaboration also supports the enhancement of CIMA+'s offering in the defence sector, where the protection of critical systems, data and infrastructure plays an increasingly important role in project execution.
"The needs of the defence sector are evolving rapidly and require solutions that are robust, innovative and tailored to highly sensitive environments. Integrating Tyrex and Seclab's technologies into our portfolio allows us to expand the range of solutions we can offer and strengthen CIMA+'s position as the partner of choice for complex defence projects," said Sylvain Gazaille, Senior Director, Defence at CIMA+.
For CIMA+, this partnership represents a new milestone in the development of its digital and cybersecurity solutions portfolio. It complements the multidisciplinary expertise already available to its clients across Canada.
"We are pleased to take this new step with CIMA+. The combination of our technologies with CIMA+'s expertise in engineering, integration and organizational support creates an offering that is particularly relevant for critical infrastructure in Canada. This agreement will allow us to join our expertise to meet organizations' growing needs in cybersecurity and business resilience. It also serves to strengthen our presence in North America, especially in Canada," said Xavier Facelina, Managing Director at Tyrex Canada.
