Cyngn Integrates Beetronics Industrial Touchscreen into Autonomous DriveMod Tugger

Cyngn, a developer of autonomous vehicle technology for industrial organizations, has selected Beetronics 7TS7M industrial touchscreen monitors as the on-vehicle human-machine interfaces (HMIs) for its DriveMod Tugger. The integration provides operators with direct access to mission deployment, system monitoring, and manual vehicle control.

The DriveMod Tugger is designed to automate repetitive material transport across manufacturing and logistics environments. Available on Motrec MT-160 platforms, the autonomous vehicle can tow loads of up to 12,000 pounds while using Cyngn's autonomous driving technology to navigate active production environments.

Cyngn's DriveMod technology combines multi-sensor perception, redundant safety systems, and centimeter-level navigation accuracy. The system evaluates thousands of potential paths per second and detects obstacles in real time, allowing the vehicle to dynamically navigate facilities without requiring specialized infrastructure.

Organizations including Coats, U.S. Continental, and G\&J Pepsi have deployed the DriveMod Tugger to automate material movement within their facilities. At U.S. Continental, the system replaced approximately 200 weekly forklift trips between buildings. At Coats' 150,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, the technology automated the movement of heavy components across production lines.

To support on-vehicle operation, Cyngn required compact and responsive interfaces capable of performing reliably in industrial environments. The Beetronics 7TS7M provides a 7-inch touchscreen HMI that allows operators to manage tasks directly from the vehicle.

The touchscreen monitors are integrated into the DriveMod Tugger, providing access to mission controls and system information while maintaining a compact footprint. Their industrial-grade construction supports operation in manufacturing and warehouse environments where equipment can be exposed to vibration, dust, continuous movement, and frequent daily use.

The interfaces also play an important role when transitioning between autonomous and manual operation. The DriveMod Tugger can be switched into manual mode when a human operator needs to take control, with the Beetronics displays providing central interaction points between the operator and vehicle.

Cyngn Insight, the company's Fleet Management System, provides visibility into fleet performance and mission execution. From the on-vehicle interfaces, operators can deploy and manage missions, monitor system status, initiate routes, and manage vehicle behavior.

As Cyngn expands DriveMod deployments across manufacturing and logistics facilities, consistency across vehicle hardware supports scalable implementation and long-term planning. The Beetronics 7TS7M provides consistent specifications and long-term product availability, enabling Cyngn to maintain a standardized HMI platform across deployments.
