TORONTO, Aug. 20, 2026 /CNW/ -- Following a settlement hearing held on June 29, 2026 pursuant to the Mutual Fund Dealer Rules, a hearing panel of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) issued its reasons for decision in the matter of George Alexander Abisaleh (the Respondent) on August 6, 2026.

In its reasons for decision, the hearing panel found that the Respondent misappropriated or otherwise obtained monies from clients, some or all of which he did not repay or account for.

In accordance with the settlement agreement, the panel confirmed:

  1. a permanent prohibition from conducting securities related business in any capacity while in the employ of or associated with any CIRO Dealer Member,
  2. a fine of $50,000,
  3. disgorgement of $214,500, and
  4. costs of $10,000.

The conduct took place while the Respondent was a Registered Representative with TD Investment Services Inc. in the Greater Toronto area in Ontario. He is not currently registered in the securities industry in any capacity.
