Espace Montmorency is set to introduce its first-ever outdoor summer programming in 2026, with three free event series running from June through August in the complex's outdoor courtyard. Managed by Alcovi Capital and owned by Montez Corp, Groupe Montoni, and Fonds FTQ, the Laval landmark is expanding its role beyond retail and office space to offer structured, recurring community programming for residents, workers, and visitors throughout the warmer months.
Three Distinct Series, One Shared Courtyard
The summer lineup introduces three separate event formats, each anchored to a specific rhythm and audience. "Les Jeudredis EM - Fiesta Latina" takes place one Thursday per month from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., featuring live Latin music, dance, and food service by La Belle et Le Boeuf. The series is designed to give the outdoor courtyard an energetic atmosphere on weekday evenings, a format that has not previously been offered at Espace Montmorency.
"Les Beaux Soirs EM - Outdoor Cinema" follows a once-monthly Saturday schedule, presenting family films in the open air with pizza, poutine, fries and the classic popcorn and sweets provided by Pizzeria Bros. The format targets families and casual visitors looking for an accessible summer outing in downtown Laval without any admission cost.
The third series, "EM en Forme - BFIT Edition," runs every Sunday across eight editions throughout the summer. The fitness-focused programming incorporates step cardio and Latin rhythms, with smoothies available through our partners. Attendance is capped for each session, therefore advance reservation is required, distinguishing this series from the drop-in format of the other two events.
Free Outdoor Programming in the hearth of Laval
All three series are offered at no cost to attendees, making the free outdoor programming at Espace Montmorency accessible to a broad cross-section of the community.
